Few days ago, on January 7th, was truly special as I joined esteemed personalities including His Grace, Archbishop Henry Ndukuba, the Primate of Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), many Bishops and clergies particularly of thr Anglican Church, His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, my brother Senators Victor Umeh and Tony Nwoye, Professor Chinedu Nebo, Chief Osita Chidoka, Hon Obinna Chidoka and others at the formal opening of the permanent site of the University on the Niger, Umunya.
It was inspiring to witness this historic moment for pursuit of knowledge and formation of strong moral character in Anambra State under the visionary leadership of His Lordship, Rt Rev Dr Owen Nwokolo, the Bishop on the Niger. The permanent site stands as a testament to what we can achieve when we prioritize educational development and inspire people of goodwill to buy into such a grand vision.
I commend Senator Nwoye’s significant contribution through the facilitation of the dual carriage internal access road as a major Constituency project, which will greatly enhance the institution’s infrastructure. I remain committed to supporting initiatives that advance quality education in our region. May this institution grow to become a beacon of academic excellence, pursuit of knowledge with strong ethics and morals, and enhancement of leadership principles and entrepreneurship.
